Survival & Emergency Planning

Practical survival help for immediate safety, food, emergency supplies, water, medicine, sanitation, power loss, communication, and longer-term emergency planning.

Survival and Emergency Planning in a Major Crisis

Good emergency planning starts with the basics: personal safety, clean water, food, needed medicine, sanitation, communication, shelter, and reliable information. This survival section is designed to help you think through those priorities calmly rather than react to rumors or fear.

Use the emergency guide for immediate steps, then build practical supplies and an offline information library over time. This is general planning information; follow current emergency authorities and qualified medical professionals when they are available.

What Should I Do If Society Is in Crisis?

New: Emergency Start-Here Guide

Use the step-by-step emergency page for immediate priorities: safety, water, medicine, sanitation, food, power, communication, children, older adults, and offline information.

Stay calm and help vulnerable people. Help children, older adults, people with disabilities, and anyone who is injured or alone.
Prioritize basics. Safe drinking water, shelter, needed medicine, sanitation, food, first aid, and communication come first.
Keep information offline. Print this guide. Keep a printed Bible. Save the PDF on more than one USB drive or offline device.
Protect your privacy. Online activity is not always private. Share personal information carefully. Do not post your exact location, supplies, passwords, or vulnerable people publicly.
Build a trustworthy community. Share wisely, help others, and do not exploit frightened people.
Keep reading Scripture. Pray, help others, and stay faithful to Jesus.

What Food and Essential Supplies Should I Store?

Build around foods you already eat and can safely store: white rice, dry beans, oats, dry pasta, wheat or wheat berries, powdered milk, sugar, salt, honey, canned meat or fish, canned beans, vegetables and fruit, nut butters, shelf-stable fats, bouillon, dry soups, seasonings, tea and coffee. Rotate foods according to package dates and condition. Never eat from bulging, leaking, badly rusted, or damaged cans.

Essential supplies include safe stored water, drinking-water filtration or purification with a backup method, a manual can opener, non-electric cooking tools, first-aid supplies, lawful personal medicines, hygiene supplies, heavy-duty trash bags, gloves, basic hand tools, duct tape, cordage, tarps, blankets, weather-appropriate clothing, paper maps, printed instructions, notebooks, copies of important records, and garden seeds appropriate to your climate.

Store wisely: Keep supplies cool, dry, clean, dark, and protected from pests. Divide critical supplies so one leak, fire, theft, or pest problem does not destroy everything. Do not publicly advertise your exact location or inventory.
