This page lists which Bible text appears on MillionsMissingGuide.org, in which translation, and under what rights. Last updated October 2026. The explanations and guides on this site are free to copy, print and share. Bible text quoted here keeps the terms of the edition it comes from, as set out below.

English pages: King James Version (KJV)

English Scripture quotations are from the King James Version (KJV, the 1769 Oxford standard text). The KJV is in the public domain in the United States and most other countries. In the United Kingdom the Crown holds letters patent over printing the KJV; that right does not cover this website. Each quoted verse is followed by the abbreviation (KJV).

Translated pages with a real Bible edition

In these languages most quoted verses are copied word for word from the public-domain edition shown, and the abbreviation appears after the verse. Public-domain status is as declared by the source (eBible.org); we have not independently verified it. Laws differ by country; if you hold rights in any text below, contact us and we will act promptly. A few verses on these pages (for example Psalms, where verse numbering differs between Bibles) are marked "unofficial translation" instead, because we could not match them safely to the edition.

Translated pages with an openly licensed Bible

In these languages most quoted verses are copied word for word from the edition shown, which is shared under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 licence (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/) by the rights holder named. The abbreviation appears after each verse. We have not changed the wording of these verses; we show only the verse text, without headings or notes. The licence status is as declared by the source (eBible.org). A few verses (for example Psalms) are marked "unofficial translation" instead.

"Unofficial translation" pages

In the languages below, Bible verses are an unofficial translation prepared by this site from the King James Version. They are not the text of any Bible society edition and carry no edition abbreviation; each verse is marked "unofficial translation" in that language. They may contain mistakes. Please compare them with a trusted Bible in your own language, and use the "Bible Version" selector on each page to read the same passage in another version online. Native speakers who can help replace these with a licensed or public-domain edition are very welcome to write to us.

Downloadable offline Bibles

The offline Bible files offered on the Offline page are separate downloads. They are complete Bible texts taken from eBible.org with headings and notes removed. Each download contains a README with its title, licence and source. Texts under a Creative Commons licence are shared under CC BY-SA 4.0: please keep the attribution and share any adaptation on the same terms. Their text is not the same as the verses quoted on the pages above.
